Hahn and Woodward in Indy with the 1938 HRG and with Hersch on a Talk Hot Rods Podcast | TalkHotRods.com

After a long and hard restoration/reconstruction which has taken years, Bill, Wes and Paul recently had a chance to take the HRG to the Indy Goodguys show and not only won the award for “Period Perfect” but also had the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to actually run the car on the fabled brickyard. From its 1938 debut at The Brooklands in Great Britain to its 2011 rebirth at Indy, the HRG has had an amazing life saved by its owner and the guys at H&W.

Please give a listen to the latest update from Bill Hahn, Wes Woodward and Paul Vorbach as they tell the HRG’s story of near death to stunning glory. There are so many things that had to be overcome for this to be a happy story. It is an achievement that any hot rodder can appreciate.

Head to the Garage for photos of the HRG at Indy and the progress of the many projects underway at H&W. My personal favorite will always be the blue Ferrari Lusso that will soon have its V12 back in place and singing that beautiful Ferrari song.

I look forward to being part of the First Annual Zelienople-Harmony Invitational Motor show October 9, 2011 in downtown Zelienople, PA. The show runs from Noon to 4:00pm with a special parade of cars down Main Street at 3:00pm.

This is all part of the 27th Annual Country Fall Festival and will include specially invited rare, classic and antique vehicles.

Thanks again to Bill, Wes and Paul for another great podcast and for being friends and mentors to me.

Thanks Doc, I feel better already. Be careful in the hot rod.
